The wheels make the gravel crunch while it dawns, the persistent rain hits our face, the fallen branches of the rain break in our path, and the green begins to fill our pupils despite the fog that refuses to leave us.
Naturaleza en estado salvaje, millenary hays, rain, mud, the sounds of nature, its inhabitants who greet us with their songs, to us, the intruders on the backs of their carbon horses. Few words, just words, it's better to feel, hear, melt and flow, like a current of air, without leaving a trace.
Balcones that show us the valleys of Ultzama and Sakana. Pastures at the height of Aralar where only the icy wind accompanies us. Long climbs and vertiginous descents. Old railway tracks converted into green roads. Fountains of abundant and crystalline water from where to drink without having to open a faucet. Locals who greet us as if we crossed every day.
We are souls in peace, who after 13 hours of pedaling, and having enjoyed 270km and climbed 5500m of descent, came face to face with civilization, the cars, the noise, the asphalt...
There is one year left to relive this experience. But it doesn't matter, every time I need it, I will close my eyes and move to that wonderful world in which I feel in harmony.
